Fixed term for 12 months
We are looking for two accomplished professionals to join our Student Support team as duty managers. Using a range of people skills, the successful candidates will support and maintain a student support presence in and around core ‘office’ hours. You will assist in the provision of support and guidance to students and will develop a good all-round knowledge of support matters, and trouble shoot where possible and arrange referral to team colleagues in other cases. You will contribute to the development of new out of hours services, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and meet strategic and user requirements. You will be a first point of contact for weekend and evening cover and a vital resource to keep our student community safe.
Working in a complex environment, your work will involve effective communication and consultation with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with sector best practice.
Applicants must have practical experience of providing student support and engaging with service users to understand their requirements and develop solutions. Excellent problem solving and communication skills are essential, as is a strong commitment to providing high quality support services to staff, students and other stakeholders.
