We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, high-performing academic member of staff to contribute to our programmes in Primary Education. Leeds Trinity has a proud tradition of working in Teacher Education and these posts represent part of a significant investment in the Institute of Childhood and Education. Our Primary Education provision includes undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for both 3-7 and 5-11 age phases, including a portfolio of School Direct and PGCert provision developed in close partnership with schools. The Institute also has strong provision in the wider area of children, young people and families and now wants to build on the synergies between ITE and this provision to become one of the leaders in this field, delivering outstanding research and practice that positively impacts on children, young people and families across our region.
We are currently seeking to enhance our provision of the English curriculum across all of our Primary Education programmes. The post holder will work as part of the Primary Education English team, teaching and leading in the subject of English across age phases 3-11. Particular expertise in teaching/leading English, including GPS, at Key Stage 2 would be welcomed. Candidates should be able to contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development and partnership activities in the field of primary education, working across the age phases 3-11. Candidates should also be able to use their expertise to support and mentor students throughout school-based training (taking place both in school and in a virtual environment).
