We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, high-performing academic member of staff to contribute to our programmes in Secondary Education. Leeds Trinity has a proud tradition of working in Teacher Education and this post represents part of a significant investment in the Institute of Childhood and Education. Our Secondary Education provision includes postgraduate programmes across a wide range of subject areas in the age phases 11-16, including a portfolio of School Direct, PGCert and Master’s provision developed in close partnership with schools. The Institute also has strong provision in the wider area of children, young people and families and now wants to build on the synergies between ITE and this provision to become one of the leaders in this field, delivering outstanding research and practice that positively impacts on children, young people and families across our region.
We are currently seeking to enhance our provision of the Mathematics PGCE programme. The post holder will work as part of the Secondary Education team and lead or co-lead their PGCE programme. Candidates should be able to contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development and partnership activities in the wider field of secondary education. Candidates should also be able to use their expertise to support and mentor students throughout school-based training (taking place both in school and in a virtual environment). Please note that this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
